10 Tips How many courses do you want to take? Remember this is from 1 – 18 hours for an undergraduate student
Tip 2 If you are working – how does this affect the number of courses you should take? Refer to the suggested number of courses found in Module 9
Tip 3 What combination of courses should you take? Remember don’t mix heavy math and science courses together, or several heavy writing courses together
Tip 4 How have you been doing this term – do you anticipate having to repeat any courses next term? This may affect your pre-requisites
Tip 5 Remember that you want to balance your general education and major courses Don’t take just general ed courses, or too few major courses This causes potential pre-requisite problems
Tip 6 Do you need to be full-time for financial aid, insurance, etc.? Remember to check with Financial aid for exact rules for your particular situation
Tip 7 Do you want to consider online courses? Major courses could be available for you online Think how you want to pair up online and in class courses
Tip 8 Remember e-core courses (online general education) This may be a good option for some of your general education courses
Tip 9 Remember the 3 phases of registration You MUST pay your tuition and fees by the end of the phase you registered in or your schedule will be DROPPED
