Part1:Progress towards DCC Demo Product-CMA CMA has completed the GSICS-DCC operational software for FY2D/E/F/G based on the NASA DCC ATBD.The reference instrument is AQUA/MODIS B1. The software has the function of automatic abstract, counting and plotting results. It is ready to produce the DCC demo product when the product format is decided. Question: Due to the big bias of FY2 operational IR calibration, the FY2 DCC product should be produced after the IR correction.

Part2: DCC Seasonal Cycle Analysis Using the Gussan filter to remove the high frequency signal of DCC and make it smoother. Using the Aqua/MODIS time period(2004~2009) to build the seasonal cycle model The standard deviation for different year of the same day as the error bar.

Conclusions CMA is ready to produce the DCC demo product when the product format is decided. DCC seasonal cycle is built based on 6-years MODIS/AQUA B1 data. The model oscillation amplitude is about 0.5% for globally data and 1% for MSG area data both with high point in summer-time and low point in winter-time. when the model is applied to MODIS DCC analysis, it could reduce the STD 20%~30%.
