Radio Quality Indication Document Version: 2.00 (Successor of «Radio Quality Check») Sensor Firmware Version: all CBox Software Version: v3 Language: English

Objective of this document Better understand the interaction between the sensors and the system Identify a radio communication problem on a sensor If a radio issue occurs, when/how to change the radio channel

Requirement: Software on CBox Software CBox: v3.3.0 or later In the control box’s « Basic Settings » menu the software version in use is shown on the bottom left

Requirement: Firmware on LED Firmware LED Display: v1.6 or later In the control box’s « Basic Settings » menu, click on « Sensor Check ». The firmware version of the LED is shown on the top left.

Assignment/Pairing of the Sensors Each sensor is factory pre-configured to communicate only with one single control box. Prior to checking them, ensure yourself that they are actually communicating with the system through the « Sensor Check » menu. If necessary, assign/pair a sensor by clicking on the machine element’s name. Click on the blue « ? » in case of questions. HELP !

Radio Quality/Strength Access the Radio Analysis menu through the button in the « Basic Settings » menu. Note: If you don’t see this button, verify that you have the needed firmware version of the LED.

Radio Quality/Strength « Lost frames » mode: Displays the raw information without periodic analysis. « Reception Quality » mode: Displays the quality of transmission by indicating the total/received frames ratio in %. quality counter Change the radio channel Reset to zero

Radio Quality/Strength In ‘Radio Quality', with the default average mode set to 5 seconds, you observe for each sensor the quality of the signal reception every 5 seconds. Poor quality on a single sensor  Change the location of the sensor. General poor quality  Change the radio channel to improve reception. Attention: If the reception is “really” poor, some (or all) sensors may not follow the channel change: Assign/pair them again.  Change the location of the in-cab LED (= the antenna) Examples: - 100% of signal loss for 3 seconds or more, the Sensor displays red - 50% of signal loss for 10 seconds: Half of the frames lost, the angle value will be refreshed only half of the time. Note: Decrease the average to identify occasional interruptions.
