Presentation transcript:

November 15th Early Release The students continue to work hard and shine in their efforts to help one another. If you should need to reach me, please call the school or email me at graysonmm@staffordschools.net November 8th – No School November 11th –No School November 15th Early Release November 14th-16th: Report Cards come home following conferences November 23-25th, Thanksgiving Break No School Cold Weather- With the cold weather here, please send your child to school with a warm jacket or sweater each day. Make sure all jackets and outerwear are labeled with your child’s name. The children often do not recognize their belongings and a label saves us a lot of confusion. Sight Words of the Month-  down, can, see, not, one, my, me big Social Studies We will be reading wonderful books about the Pilgrims’ voyage, the way that the Native Americans lived before video games and how food was found before fast food was available (Past and Present SOL K2) Science We will be learning about Magnets(k.3) Math We are practicing our knowledge of numbers and what those symbols mean. Whenever you are out and about, count things with your child and point out numbers. This will help instill that numbers are everywhere. We will be sorting objects, making patterns, predicting what comes next, (which has more, less, or the same) SOLs K15, K3, K13, K14 Reading We ask that you attempt to read one book each night with your child. The more you read, the more words your child is exposed to. This in turn helps your child to become more familiar with words and makes reading easier!
