Characterization

Definition: Characterization: the act of describing the character or qualities of someone or something Flat Characters: minor character in a work of fiction who does not undergo substantial change or growth in the course of a story Rounded Character: Fully developed character

Definitions: dynamic character develops, changes, and learns something during the course of a story static character a character who remains the same.

Character Traits “descriptive adjectives like happy or sad that tell us the specific qualities of the character. They're the same kinds of words that we might use to describe ourselves or others, but we're using them to describe fictional characters in something we've read.”
