Teaching #1: Fighting God’s Enemy

Teaching #2: Announcing God’s Kingdom and Future Judgment

Repent and believe the good news!” Mark 1: 14-15 14 After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. 15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!”

John 4:35 “Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.”

Luke 13: 18-19 18 Then Jesus asked, “What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to? 19 It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air perched in its branches.”

Luke 13: 20-21 20 Again he asked, “What shall I compare the kingdom of God to? 21 It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough.”

“The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, Matthew 17: 20-21 20 Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, 21 nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is within you.”

Luke 13: 2-3 2 Jesus answered, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? 3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”

Teaching #3: Expressing God’s Love

Luke 11: 11-13 11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Luke 15: 1-10 1 Now the tax collectors and ‘sinners’ were all gathering around to hear him. 2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” Parable of the Lost Sheep Parable of the Lost Coin

Questions to Answer: 1.) Have you acknowledged and repented of your sins? 2.) Are you actively resisting the Enemy and his works? 3.) How can you help show God’s Kingdom on Earth? 4.) Are you praying for and proactively reaching out to the “Lost Sheep” in your life?
