Labor Law and Teamwork The National Labor Relations Act of 1935 forbids employers to dominate or interfere with the formation of any “labor organization.” The National Labor Relations Board issued a ruling in 2001, concluding that teams are not considered labor organizations if they have the authority to plan and implement decisions (supervisory authority).
