SSMC has approved the 11 Month Honorarium to All Cook cum helpers (Bhojan Mata). Additional budget will be met from State resources. Additional Rs. 500.00 contributed by State for honorarium to each cook-cum-helper per month besides of Minimum mandates state share i.e. Rs.100.00 ( Honorarium is Rs.1500.00 per month) Incentive of Rs.1000/- in form of bonus is paid annually to each Cook-cum-helper in addition to honorarium. All Cook cum helper (Bhojan Mata) is engaged in state is the mother of the child studied in that particular school. Kitchen gardens established in 848 schools. Rs. 1000 given to all schools for procuring soaps, aprons, head cover, gloves etc. Hoardings/Banners on Hand Wash sponsored by Canara Bank under CSR 26896 Cook cum Helpers are trained in a phased manner. Added Schools in 2016-17, MDM is extended to only Upper Primary Children whereas the Primary Children have been deprived of MDM. 8 Days less coverage of working days (171 days out of 179 days approved). Only 41% schools have LPG connections and others are using firewood. Repeated poor coverage of children in some districts like Haridwar, Dehradun, US Nagar, Nainital, Champawat etc. since 2014-15. Social Audit Not yet conducted in the State. 253 Kitchen cum stores Construction is yet to Start. (Sanctioned in 2012-13) 28 Kitchen Devices is yet to procure.
