What is Chemistry? The study of the substances that makes up matter and the changes that they undergo to form new substances Examples:

Summary of Mass vs. Gravity So is Mass & Weight the same? …… No! Weight is dependent on gravity Formula: Weight = Mass x gravity Gravity on earth: 9.807 m/s² Gravity on the moon: 1.622 m/s² Summary of Mass vs. Gravity The mass of an object is the same everywhere Weight depends on the effect of gravity & varies according to location. Mass can never be zero Weight can be zero if no gravity acts upon an object
