Single-leg squat exercise being performed using a suspension training system such as TRX. The advantages of using this type of equipment are that it can be performed in a variety of settings, resistance is set using body weight and positioning of the body (i.e., upright vs. prone/supine), resistance can be adjusted quickly based on the abilities of the individual client, and the movements target the core musculature in addition to the prime movers leading to improvements in balance and core stability.
