The Texas Revolution Chapter 6

The Revolution Begins Lesson 1 The Anglo colonists sent a petition to the Mexican government. This is a signed request for action. The colonists wanted new settlers to come to Texas. http://news.haverford.edu/blogs/special/files/2010/11/penna-soc11.jpg

The Battle of Gonzales In 1835, Mexican soldiers were sent to Texas to take back a cannon. The Texans would not let them take the cannon. This started a battle and became the first battle of the Texas Revolution.
