Holiday Traditions Oktoberfest may be called oktoberfest ,but it starts in September. Oktoberfest celebrates the wedding of king ludwig and princess ThreseVonsachsen-hildbuvahausen in 1810.the wedding was so much fun that they celebrated the flowing year, and year after that. Oktoberfest is more like a huge American state fair complete with fun rides ,merry go rounds ,Carnival booths ,food ,entertanenment . Oktoberfest lasts from 16+18 days in length.
