Passive Voice Although the passive voice is not any less correct than the active voice, it is less direct, less forceful, and less concise. Passive voice requires more words to express a thought. A sentence written in passive voice sounds weak.

Active Voice Active voice uses strong verbs It also has the subject of the sentence doing the action. Whereas in passive voice, the action is done on the subject. Or the subject is not involved at all.
