Welcome to First Grade! Mrs. Megan Johnson 2011-2012

Meet Mrs. Johnson This is my 7th year at RES. I am married to Mr. Johnson, who teaches 2nd grade here at RES. We have a puppy named Coach. I love to travel, take photographs, and learn about different cultures.

Curriculum cont… “TARGET TIME” All 4 first grade classes will be participating in Target Time. This is a time when students are put in groups according to their ability level and participate in learning activities, mini lessons, and computer programs.

Homework Read EVERY night! Practice writing the spelling words Work not completed in class is considered homework. It will be marked with an “H”. Review math facts, high frequency words

Don’t forget! Fill out the directory form and give to me. Sign up for a conference time and PTO volunteer opportunities (in the commons). You can pick up pictures from last year in the commons. They are organized by your child’s teacher from last year. Sign the RES Code of Conduct and calendar form (in the calendar) and give to me. Please call or email me with any questions or concerns!
