Redemption Powerpoint By Ian, Rian and Cole

What does it mean to redeem something? It means to gain or regain possession of something. In this case it means to regain possession of your relationship with God.

How does God reveal Himself to Jonah. In the story of Jonah, Jonah disobeyed God and was disobedient. God gave Jonah a second chance by not killing him, loving him and forgiving him.

Who is God in this situation? God is punishing Jonah and telling him to smarten up and saying to him “I am still divine”.

What does he do in this situation? I think that God is kind of rebuking Jonah and saying c’mon smarten up already.

Who are the human characters in this situation? The human characters are Jonah, the people of the boat and the people of Nineveh.

How do they respond to God? Jonah responds with anger and is angry with God because he showed compassion with the people of Nineveh. So jonah wanted to die.

How does this situation foreshadow what God does through Jesus Christ? It foreshadows God because God showed compassion to 120,000 people and animals. It is not just any they were gentiles and did not know anything about God.
