DESY Test – Baseline Assumptions 4 GeV e− ~ 100 Hz trigger rate magnet serves as target 5-10 secondary tracks hit detectors „normal“ operation assume 10 tracks x 2 DHH x 2 hits/cluster x 4 bytes x 100 Hz 16 kB per 1 second > ~3 days before memory filled up full frames operation 2 HalfLadders x 768 x 250 x 1 byte = 384 kB > 104 events can be taken before memory filled up Track Finder for straight tracks maybe sufficient B field is solenoid B=1.2 T field on = helix tracks, almost straight for L'10 cm field off = straight tracks

DESY Test – what we plan for ATCA DAQ 2 DHH, but only 1 optical link input to ATCA one 2-slot ATCA shelf only one CN, maybe only use 1 FPGA 1 PC (ATCA shelf manager) FPGA firmware: AURORA input on optical link (RocketIO) from DHH buffer management unpacking/decoding and ROI filter (on or off) siTCP output to EVB Simple visulization („hit display“) will be available „on ATCA“, but - if hit display is running, events are not sent to EVB - monitoring on FastRECO should be default solution (but then hit display is off) - Note: ATCA DAQ is sending data out in exactly binary format as received it needs a data unpacker/decoder in basf2 on FastRECO (routines from David available)

DESY Test – Questions from DAQ side NSM running ? EPICS running ? ROIs from HLT ? i.e. online tracking on HLT ? (CA ?) Which binary format ? Hit based (DHP format) or cluster based (DCE format) How many EVB nodes? Fixed IPs? Trigger input to DHH from FTSW ? May require some NIM logic (input to FTSW) ? double triggers ignored ? No MIMOSA readout (decided in Bad Aibling) DATCON input protocol is Belle2link, output protocol is Aurora
