Serve the Lord with Gladness Psalm 100

Make a joyful noise (1) We must praise God with joy All you lands – God rules over all nations! Phil. 2:9-11, Psa. 47:8-9

Serve with gladness (2) Serve Him – Rom. 12:1, Heb. 12:28 But do we do so with gladness and joy? Phil. 4:4, Rom. 12:12, 5:1-2, 1 Thess. 5:16 Come with singing – Jas. 5:13

Know that He is God (3) “Know” – to be aware of, acquainted. More than His existence! We must not only believe in God, we must believe God! HOW do we know Him? Keep His commandments – 1 John 2:3-6, Titus 1:15-16, 1 Jn. 4:7-8

Know that He is God (3) “He who made us, and not we ourselves” We are His creation – Gen. 1:26-27, Eph. 2:10, Col. 1:15-16

Know that He is God (3) “We are His people and the sheep of His pasture” MORE than mere creation – 2 Cor. 5:7, John 10:14, 27; Psalm 23

Enter into His gates… (4) Gates and courts – probably, the temple where Jews entered to worship

Enter into His gates… (4) “Gates” we enter Kingdom – Jesus door to sheepfold, John 10:7-9, 1 Pet. 2:25

Enter into His gates… (4) “Gates” we enter Worship – the church is the temple 1 Cor. 3:16, Eph. 2:21-22, 1 Pet. 2:5 WE “come together” to worship – 1 Cor. 11:18, 14:23, etc. He is here! Do we magnify Him?

Enter into His gates… (4) “Gates” we enter Heaven – our hope Matt. 7:13-14, 21-23, John 3:5

Enter into His gates… (4) Our attitude as we enter to worship! Thanksgiving – Col. 3:16,17; 4:2. Not grudgingly Praise in His courts – Heb. 13:15, 1 Pet. 2:9 Bless His name – cf. Psa. 111:9, 145:1-2

For the Lord is Good (5) He is good and merciful – Rom. 2:3-4 His truth endures to all generations (“faithfulness”) – James 1:17, Mal. 3:6 His word does NOT change 1 Pet. 1:24-25, Matt. 24:35 Psalm 119:89
