MLA Tips! 1. Type your name, your teacher’s name, your class, and the date (day Month Year) in the top left corner. 2. Type your title. Hit Enter. Type your first line. 3. Center your title (highlight it, then click the Paragraph line button that puts the text in the center). Indent your first line (hit the “Tab” button). 4. Double-click near the top of the page to open the Header editing option. Insert the page number by selecting “Insert Page Number” in the tool bar in the top left section. Make the “1” go to the right side of the page. 5. Type your last name before the number. Double-click outside of the header area to make it go back to normal.
