BEWARE VERY INTERESTING THINGS AHEAD

The romans ate many different things The romans ate many different things . They didn’t have pasta, it was invented much later . There were also no potatoes or tomatoes .

They ate lots of bread . Their bread is very different than we eat today . This is the bread we eat today . This is the bread they ate back then . YUM

They had three main coarses when a meal was served . Meals for men only They had three main coarses when a meal was served . The first coarse was like an appetizer . They ate olives,anchovies,veggies,and herbs . The second coarse was a meat dish . They served a roasted baby goat , ostrich, vension ,or sometimes salted fish. Also the final coarse was dessert. They served fresh fruit including grapes, figs , plums, or apples .

The rich people learned about new , exotic dishes . This included peacock brains , flamingo tongues , and milk-fed snails . EWWWWWW!!!!

The romans also ate beans and also Letils The romans also ate beans and also Letils . There are basicly the same thing . These are the beans . These are the Lentils .

They only ate very little meats and they also ate stuffed dates .
