New Labelling for Nicoderm® and Nicorette® Previous Label Statement NEW Label Statement Do not smoke or use tobacco, snuff or other nicotine-containing medications at the same time that you use [Nicorette®/Nicoderm®]. “Do not use" statement is deleted.  Additional: if you are using [Nicorette®/Nicoderm®] while trying to quit smoking but slip up and have a cigarette, you should not stop using [Nicorette®/Nicoderm®].  You should keep using it and keep trying to quit. Stop smoking completely when you begin using [Nicorette®/Nicoderm®] [Nicorette®/Nicoderm®] can be used to quit immediately or for pre-cessation treatment. Do not use for more than [a specified # of weeks]. It is important to complete treatment.  If you feel you need to use [Nicorette®/Nicoderm®] for a longer period to keep from smoking, talk to your health care provider If the amounts of [Nicorette®/Nicoderm®] you are taking do not help you stop smoking, talk with your healthcare provider about using more than one type of nicotine replacement therapy at the same time. The Nicoderm patch pre-quit plan involves gradually reducing the number of cigarettes you smoke over 2 weeks leading up to your quit day while wearing the Nicoderm patch. 1. Nicoderm Product Licence.
