Our mission is to serve the hungry in Palm Beach and Martin Counties through community collaborations.

Community Food Pantries 7 locations– Delray Beach, Lake Worth, West Palm Beach, Riviera Beach, Jupiter, Belle Glade and Indiantown. In 2016 our pantries served 58,917 people, with 35% of them children

The Caring Kitchen Breakfast: Mon – Fri at 9:00 am – 10:00 am Lunch: Mon – Fri at 11:30 am – 12:30 pm Supper: Sun, Mon, Wed, Thur at 5:00 pm – 5:30pm Meals delivered to the homebound: Mon, Wed, Thur The goals of the Caring Kitchen are to feed the hungry, build community and help those who are able to become self sufficient.

The Caring Kitchen In 2016, the Caring Kitchen served 85,260 meals. Distributed 15,360 bag lunches in partnership with Cason UMC on Saturday mornings. Provide 100 children each school day with an afterschool snack Changing people’s lives – giving them another chance Steve – alcoholic, gained hope, did not give up partial custody of his child

The Caring Kitchen The Caring Kitchen also helps people with basic services – glasses, hygiene items, faxing info, bus passes, mailing address, etc. We also help with clothes for work and interviews. In 2016 we provided 16,354 referrals and services for basic needs. Changing people’s lives – giving them another chance Janet – homeless, pregnant, got into programs and eventually moved in with mother, got job and began raising 3 children

Gleaning Field Gleaning – volunteers pick produce left behind by harvesters. Cull Line Gleaning – volunteers stand at end of conveyer belt to pick out produce still good before going into a truck to be dumped.

Gleaning Mango Gleaning – we manage a mango grove at Lantana & I-95, owned by the SWA. Backyard Gleaning – we pick produce from individuals yards 411,140 pounds fresh produce gleaned 2015-2016

Nutrition in a Knapsack Teachers hear their students talking about what they had for dinner and they say, cookies or chips. We provide 295 bags of food to children in two elementary schools for their weekend meals 150 students at Pine Grove Elementary in Delray Beach 145 students at Jupiter Elementary

Summer Camps Located in Boynton Beach and Lake Worth, for 9 weeks, Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm. In 2016, served 198 children from elementary to middle school. We promote school readiness, ensure proper nutrition and guarantee a safe nurturing place for campers.
