Chapter 1 PBX Features

CO Access without dial 9/0 <Question> Does KX-HTS support CO access without dialing 9/0? <Answer> Yes. Condition is as follows. - Local CO access number is not programmed. - Dialed number does not match with extension number. - 1st digit of dialed number is not “*”. - Dialed number does not match with other feature number such as quick dial and trunk access (Default : 8). Concurrent Call 1/3 <Question> Does KX-HTS have limitation for concurrent call? <Answer> Yes. - Call by remote SIP extension : 2 - Video call : 2 - Total call : 12 For example, <8 calls for extension to trunk by 8 extensions> and <4 calls for extension to extension by 8 extensions> are available. This becomes 8 or 10 instead of 12 conditionally. See manual (PDF) and next page for details. 5

Master Password <Question> Does KX-HTS support master password for PBX programming ? <Answer> Yes. Please contact CS team of Panasonic System Networks (Japan) through Panasonic in each area, when you forgot password. Master password changes every month. 9

Operator <Question> Does KX-HTS support one digit call to operator ? <Answer> Yes. Programming is as follows for example. 10

Operator (without time out) <Question> Does KX-HTS support one digit call to operator without time out? <Answer> Yes. Programming is as follows for example. Remove “0XXXXXXXXXXXX” because 0 is not for Local CO access. 11

SIP Trunk : Redundancy <Question> Does KX-HTS support redundancy for SIP trunk? <Answer> No. 2nd server address cannot be assigned to KX-HTS. KX-NS/NSX supports this. SIP Carrier Office SIP Trunk Internet 1st server KX-HTS 2nd server 12

System Programming by Phone <Question> Does KX-HTS support system programming by phone? <Answer> Yes. But only one programming is supported. Extension 101 and 103 (as Manager by default) can disable unused analog CO. <KX-HDV> Dial *# - 1234 # 400# CO port number [1-8] # 0 (No Connect) / 1 (Connect) # and Off hook => Confirmation tone is sent. <SLT> Off hook and dial *# - 1234 # 400# CO port number [1-8] # 0 (No Connect) / 1 (Connect) # => Confirmation tone is sent after 10s. 13

Video Call (Extension Call) <Question> Does KX-HTS have feature limitation for video call? <Answer> Yes. When “Video Support” is enabled for both extensions, following operation is not available during talking. Transfer / Hold / Park This limitation is common for KX-NS/NSX PBX. This should be enabled only for KX-HDV430, KX-NTV and Bria. 14

Chapter 2 Router

WAN <Question> Does KX-HTS support 2nd WAN port dedicated for SIP carrier ? Some SIP carrier provides only SIP service (as alternative of PRI service) without data service. <Answer> Yes. 2nd LAN port can be 2nd WAN port for SIP by programming.
