Chapter 3 Matter

What Is Matter? All living things can be divided into matter and non-matter. Matter is something that occupies space and has mass. Matter Book Air Soil Animals Non-matter Light Sound Heat Electricity

Air is Matter? Activity 1 Fill a basin with water. Stick a pair of tissue on a glass jar bottom. Dip the glass jar upside down with the opening facing downward. Take the glass jar out. Check whether the tissue is wet or not. If the tissue is not wet, then the space occupied by the air is letting the tissue to be dry. Activity 2 Prepare an empty tire tube. Weigh it. Record the initial weight. Fill air into the tire tube using air pump. Weigh it. Record the final weight. If the final weight is greater than the initial, then air is prove as matter. Since it, has mass.
