Narrative Prompts Babysitting A Pet

Writing Situation: Pretend you are asked to spend the afternoon baby-sitting Howie, a pet monkey.

Directions for Writing: Before you begin to write, think about the fun adventures you have with Howie, the monkey.

Begin your story the first event. Describe the second event. Topic Sentence: (Who, What, When, Where, Why) Tell about the third event. How did the story end…The Big Finish!

Now write a story about what happened the afternoon you baby-sat Howie, the monkey.
