Remember to incorporate information from yesterday’s lesson. Warm Up You will be given 5 minutes to create a Facebook page for Julius Caesar. Remember to incorporate information from yesterday’s lesson.

Objective- SWBAT understand to understand how Rome became and Empire.

After the death of Caesar, civil war broke out After the death of Caesar, civil war broke out. Caesars grandnephew Octavian joined Caesars top generals Mark Antony and Marcus Lepidus to defeat the forces who killed Julius Caesar.

Recall yesterdays lesson and identify the term Triumvirate Recall yesterdays lesson and identify the term Triumvirate. Octavian, Mark Antony and Marcus Lepidus formed the next Triumvirate and divided the Roman Empire amongst themselves

Octavian took control of Italy and the West- Antony ruled Greece and the East, Lepidus took control of North Africa.
