LESSON 645: THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES LESSON 645: THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD MEMORY VERSE “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” 1 Corinthians 15: 52 TEXT: 1 Corinthians 15: 1 – 58

STUDY SUMMARY Previous study focused on the “Precepts for the use of Spiritual Gifts” Desire Spiritual gifts, but should be exercised in the spirit of charity. Let all things be done unto edification. Let all things be done decently and in order. In our study today, Paul the apostle deals with the subject of the resurrection of the dead He establishes the truth of Christ’s resurrection. True believers will experience transformation at resurrection and will have final victory over death, sin and Satan. The believer is exhorted to remain steadfast, obedient and diligent if he is to partake in this glorious event.

QUESTION #1   Why is the doctrine of the resurrection of the dead so important to the Christian faith? 1 Corinthians 15:13 – 20 Romans 10:9.

CONCLUSION Jesus is the first fruit of the dead who rose from the grave. True believers will also experience the resurrection someday. The hope of resurrection should be every believer’s ultimate reason for continuous service for the Lord, and for fighting the good fight of faith. Be steadfast, and hold on to the end, for your glorious reward is imminent!
