Video Calls Video Device Settings To set up your audio device, on the right-hand side of the Skype for Business window, click (Options) Select Video Device from the left-hand menu If your don’t see your video preview, make sure the camera is working correctly. To adjust settings, click Camera Settings. If you prefer your webcam to centre on your face automatically when you are broadcasting during meetings, select the Crop and centre my video in meetings check box If you have crop and centre set up in Skype for Business, do not have face detection set up in your camera software at the same time – they compete rather than help each other.

Video Calls Adding Video Once you have initiated a conversation with someone, it may want to enable Video. From the Conversation window click on the Video icon. This will display your Video Preview prior to your Camera being enabled This provides an opportunity to position yourself or the camera correctly. Once you are happy select ‘Start My Video’ Other Participants within the conversation will also need to ‘Start their Video’ for a full video Conversation to take place You can ‘Stop My Video’ at any time to stop your video stream. You’ll still see others’ video. Click on Video icon to end your video stream - you will still have audio.

Video Calls Using Video Controls and Switch Views Choose the layout In the video conversation window, click Pick a Layout, and choose one of the following: Gallery View to show all the participants’ videos. Speaker View to show only the presenters’ videos. Content View to show only the meeting content. Compact View to show the tiles of the participants in a compact window. Manage the participants To manage the participants, right-click a person’s video or photo, and click: Mute, Unmute, or Remove to mute, unmute, or remove that person from the call. Lock the Video Spotlight to make that person’s video the spotlighted video. Pin to Gallery to keep that person in the Gallery View.

Video Calls Using Video Controls and Switch Views Choose the view In the video conversation window, click Pop out video gallery to see the videos in a separate window Full Screen View for a large view of the videos, and click Pop in video gallery to go back to normal view. The Gallery View will display the video stream of the 5 most dominate speakers within the conversation.
