Basics and FAQ How do I set ticket prices for an event? (Click on any question you have to go directly to the answer, while in presentation mode) How do I set ticket prices for an event? How do I create a ticket price? How do I create multiple ticket prices for a single event? How do I make it so only specific membership levels can select a specific ticket type? How do I change the order of tickets? How do I make it so members can pay online for an event? What does checking ‘disable pay at the door’ really mean? General Questions

How do I create a ticket price? Return to FAQ How do I create a ticket price? Use “Tiered Pricing” to create different ticket types and prices When adding a new ticket type, type in the desired name, and desired price. Make sure the price is typed without any symbols (i.e. for a $15 ticket, type 15.00) If you want this ticket price to be available to chapter members only, select “logged in chapter members only” Leave status as “active” You can create as many ticket types as you want!

How do I create a ticket price? The “Membership Level” bar allows you to select specific membership levels for each ticket type; only members of that level can purchase the ticket You can select any membership level to associate with a ticket You can also select multiple membership levels for a ticket; select them one at a time If you want the ticket to be for just guests, or for everyone, you can select those two options!

Why Membership Levels for Tickets? Associating specific membership levels with tickets allows each chapter to create tickets specific to their various types of members, whether that be cheaper tickets (such as for paid members and students, etc) or more expensive tickets (such as for sponsors or guests). No one besides those membership levels associated with the ticket can purchase that ticket, which prevents confusion and dishonesty in ticket purchasing.

Changing Order of Tickets In the case that you wish to change the order of your tickets, do the following: Select the downward arrow of the ticket you wish to move; this ticket will be moved down one. Use this tool to arrange tickets in a particular order before you create an event; if they are not manually arranged, they will be left in the order in which they were created.

Creating an Event Category Return to FAQ Creating an Event Category An event category refers to a set range of ticket prices for a given event To create an event category, go to add event category and name the category accordingly A list of all the active ticket types you have created will appear; you can select as many ticket types as you want. These ticket types will be displayed as options when the person registering for a given event goes to pay

How do I set ticket prices? Return to FAQ How do I set ticket prices? When creating an event, scroll down the “Event Category” list until you find the desired category. The ticket prices in the selected category will automatically be assigned to the event. Use “Event Price” if you have one price and want it as pay at door If you do not wish the event to have a pay at door option, select “disable pay at door”

What does “disable pay at the door” do? Return to FAQ What does “disable pay at the door” do? Checking “disable pay at door” adds additional green text to the actual event page “Pay at door” is removed from registrants’ view when registering for the event

How Can Members Pay Online? Return to FAQ How Can Members Pay Online? When a member registers for an event, a window appears asking for their information When they select ticket type, the ticket types assigned to this event will appear for the member to select

How Can Members Pay Online? Return to FAQ How Can Members Pay Online? Upon clicking register, members are redirected to this site to pay for the ticket to the event Even if they select pay at door, they will be redirected to this site. If you wish for an event to be exclusively pay at door, refer to previous slide “How do I set ticket prices?”
