Cons Pros SMART Board Software Cost Online Training Not wireless The pros of the SMART board are the types of software available to use with the board. These types of software range from classroom management to idea concept mapping to math tools. Another pro of the SMART board is the online training it offers. This online training allows the teacher the opportunity to learn how to use this new technology. One con that we found was that although these boards are very good for the classroom the cost is very high.

Pros Cons Team Board Lowest cost Wire Connected 5- year warranty Not Much Software The first pro about the Team board that we found is that it has the lowest cost. The Second pro we found was that the Team Board company offers a 5-year warranty for all components including the writing surface. The first con we discovered was that the Team Board has to be connected by a wire to the computer making it hard to move the computer if you needed to. Also they recommend having a computer dedicated to the interactive whiteboard, and in some cases the school doesn’t have that option. The next con we found was that the Team Board company doesn’t offer much software. This could make it hard to use with certain lessons a teacher has planned out.

Promethean Whiteboard Pros Cons Wireless Cost Resilient Software The first pro we found with the Promethean Whiteboard is that this bored is wireless. This allows the teacher to be able to move the computer when needed and also makes it a lot safer for the students because there won’t be wires for them to trip over or play with. The second thing that we discovered about the promethean whiteboards that we think is a pro is that the boards are resilient. This means they are more flexible if you lean up against them too hard. The next thing that we feel is a pro is the software they offer. The con that we discovered about the promethean whiteboard is that it costs a lot of money.

We Prefer… Promethean Best Software Wireless Resilient User friendly We prefer the Promethean Whiteboard over the other two whiteboards because the Promethean Whiteboard has the best software available with more options. The wireless connection allows for you to move the computer and there are no wires to cause safety problems. The fact that the boards are resilient is great because if you lean up against them they wont get very damaged. Being user friendly is also great because it allows everyone to be able to use the board.
