Teacher Letters of Recommendation Typical Process/Procedures *All students must begin the process by speaking with the teacher directly! Student is Using Common Application (ignore select/add teacher in individual common app account – you cannot request a letter via your common app account) Student is Using the College Specific Application and Coalition Application Student Must First 1. List all colleges in common app account for which they are requesting a recommendation. Sign the FERPA agreement. Common App Match in Naviance If teacher is submitting Electronically If teacher is submitting via Naviance If teacher is submitting using Direct or Coalition online Application If teacher is submitting Electronically (naviance only!) If teacher is submitting via US Post If teacher is submitting via US Post Student must first: In Naviance - Place the prospective college in the colleges I am applying to section in Naviance Then request electronically via Naviance: See Requesting teacher letters Naviance Request Procedures on the 12th grade page of counseling web site!
