TYPICAL CLUB CONTEST PLAN Sr. No. Date Description In Charge Remarks 1 Early November Call for a special Excom to finalise plans for Club Contest - Finalise Contest Date(s). Option 1 : Conduct all 4 contests on a single day Option 2 : Conduct in 2 parts on two regular club meeting days Finalise Contest Chairs Club President / VP Education 2 hour session to make the program structure very clear and to discuss action plan to arrange the contest. Contest chair is an important role towards completion of CL 2 End November Inform Club Contest dates to Area / Division Team Club President   3 Early December Announce club contest dates during club meetings, by mail to all members. Encourage members to participate and ask members to prepare for contest. Arrange practice sessions for contestants during regular / special meetings. Participating in contest is a learning experience. Value of that experience is more important than winning. 4 Four weeks prior to contest date Call each member and collect their interest of participation in each category (International, Humorous, Table Topics, Evaluation, Tall Tales). Contest Chair / VP Education To take part in International Speech Contest, the member must have completed 6 CC projects 5 Two weeks prior to contest date Finalise Club Contest participants list Contest Chair 6 Finlalise Chief Judge and role players (Timer, Tally counters) from non-contestants. Ensure contest chair read and understand CONTEST RULE BOOK 7 Prepare Meeting Agenda for Club Contest. Check the duration of contest, plan break in between. Confirm feasibility to accommodate all within available time 8 Atleast 1 week before contest date Confirm availabilty of Judges with Chief Judge Select Judges at Club level contest from the non-contestants 9 Circulate final agenda among all members. 10 CLUB CONTEST First place winner will proceed to Area level 11 Next day of club contest Forward the winners list (TI form) to Area Director
