Reading: We will continue working on visualizing as we read. We will also practice finding main idea and details. Writing: We will continue working on creating storyboards with a partner. Our story ideas come from things that have happened in our own lives. Math: We will be working on solving story problems. Health: We will be learning and talking about different ways we can stay healthy. Special Notes **Please consider volunteering in Jan/Feb for our Junior Achievement Program. You would volunteer 5 different days, for 30-40 minutes per day and would be teaching the class. Materials given to you. We are required to have a volunteer for this program. **Please send a chapstick (with child’s name on it) to school as lips are starting to get dry with fall/winter coming up. **Our first submission to Box Tops is for $712. This is significantly lower than most fall submissions. We get one more submission for the year by Feb. 15th. Please send all Box Tops to school with your child! **Box Top money last year went to purchase flexible seating for each classroom and also money toward the start-up of the Saber Nation Station at the HS. (Free clothes and toiletries for kids there) **Help your child log on to www.student.frontrowed.com to practice Math and Reading. Your child’s log in information is taped to the front of his/her planner. If they practice Reading, they can mark their Reading Sheet!  My Email: cerickso@shakopee.k12.mn.us   SPECIALS Week of the 23rd: Mon: GYM Tues: MEDIA Wed: MUSIC Thurs: GYM Fri: ART Week of the 30th: Mon: MUSIC Tues: GYM Wed: ART Thurs: GYM Fri: MUSIC
