6 Steps to Building Trust in the Coach-Parent Relationship

Step 1: HAVE A REALITY CHECK Players are afraid to make mistakes Core mission & values are often forgotten by coaches and parents Coaching is lonely Crazy Soccer Parents are ruining it for everyone Parents are fearful and stressed Coaches are fearful Coaching Culture in United States is Disconnected There is an unbalance of power in the coach-parent relationship

Step 2: KNOW YOUR STUFF EFFICACY: COACHING EFFICACY: The extent to which you believe in yourself. COACHING EFFICACY: The extent to which you believe you have the capacity to influence the learning and performance of your athletes. Coaching Efficacy consists of four dimensions:
