TIDEWATER The rivers are James, Rappahannock, York, and Potomac. Some cities are Hampton, Norfolk, and Portsmouth. Tidewater is part of the Eastern Shore. The language Indians spoke in this region is Algonquian.

THE DESCRIPTION The Blue Ridge mountains is located west of the fall and the piedmont region. The mountains are old rounded mountains. The mountains are from 250 millon years ago. Mountains Rodgers is in my region. The blue ridge mountains is the source of many rivers.

Cool Facts The rivers in the region are the Shenandoah and the mouth of the James. Shenandoah Valley in Indian means “dark eye daughter of the stars.”

Amazing Description Appalachian plateau is a high plateau. The Appalachian Plateau does not have a lot of cities there. The Indians that lived their spoke Iroquoian. The industries in the Appalachian Plateau is coal mining. The Appalachian Plateau has mountains but is flat on the top.

Interesting Facts Some parts of the plateau exhibit is strongly dissected by steam erosion and the topography is rugged. In Virginia the southwestern portion of the state is part of Appalachian Plateau province.
