Why do people ride bikes? There are lots of reasons……… Can you think of some?

People ride bikes to work or school

Riding a bike is good exercise

People ride them for fun

I cycle for pleasure, to keep fit, to see the beautiful countryside and cycle with my friends.

The first bicycle looked like this! The very first bicycle was called ‘The Hobby Horse’ and was made of wood! It was invented in 1817 by Karl von Drais. You had to push it along with your feet but it was faster than walking!
