Tuberculosis (TB): The 22 High-Burden Countries (HBCs) The HBCs account for approximately 80% of all TB cases in the world. NOTES: The HBCs are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, China, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Russia, South Africa, Thailand, Uganda, Tanzania, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe.
