Presentation transcript:

Lendrick Muir P5 Residential Welcome everybody. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Mrs Donnelly and I organise the residential trips for P5 and P7. As you know we offer a residential trip to Lendrick Muir for our P5 pupils.

Location Just 10 minutes from Kinross and the M90, Lendrick Muir has a beautiful countryside setting, but is so accessible with 120 acres and endless onsite activities at the centre. Low Port Centre is situated just off the main street in Linlithgow. It is an activity based centre which offers outdoor and indoor activities for children and adults and also has facilities for groups to stay over. The Primary 5 trip next year will take place in April. Lowport centre can accommodate 30 children. Therefore until we know final numbers we have booked 2 dates for this residential. If there ends up being 30 or less pupils interested then only one date will be selected. The dates are Monday 18 – Wednesday 20 April and Wednesday 20 – Friday 22 April 2016.

Activities There are acres of outdoor space to enjoy outdoor activities at Lendrick Muir. Qualified activity instructors will lead groups to get the most from the activities planned for. There are also great facilities to run a huge range of activities: an All Weather Pitch for football or basketball, an Adventure Playground and even a Beach Volleyball court in summer. Enjoy Disc Golf, walks and trails in the forest or try out some team-building exercises. There are plenty of indoor activities available too! A massive games hall is great for ball sports and a ideal facility on a rainy day.

Facilities Low Port Centre provides excellent facilities for residential groups. Breakfast, dinner and supper are eaten in the canteen area and a packed lunch is provided and eaten in one of the classroom areas. All outdoor and indoor activities are led by qualified instructors and equipment and clothing is provided.

This modern wing of the house offers ground floor sleeping accommodation. There are  en-suite dormitory style rooms sleeping up to 8 each as well as several small rooms. Children have had some input into room allocations. At least one friend listed will be in their room. Children will be told their rooms and groups before they leave on Wednesday 13th September.

Food Breakfast Packed Lunch Dinner Supper The food at Lendrickmuir is plentiful and of a high quality. The qualified and experienced catering staff are there to make sure that the children (and staff!) have plenty of good wholesome food to choose from. If your child is a vegetarian please make this know to their class teacher. We will pass this information on to the catering staff who are happy to help with special and medical diet needs. On the EE2 form which was sent home there is a section which mentions dietary information. If your child is allergic to any foods or drinks or has any special dietary needs it is vital that you complete this section and give as much information as possible. Read slide
