Warm-up: 1st NW Review Packet **hw/hw log/Storybook “Logic” Supplemental Resources Honors Obj: SWBAT determine the truth value of conjunctions and disjunctions (Truth tables) Regular Obj: SWBAT review Unit 1-2 concepts (concept byte/supplements/Glencoe Textbook) Warm-up: 1st NW Review Packet **hw/hw log/Storybook “Logic” Homework: (day 18) Worksheet (day 18)/Begin finishing 1st NW review Packet- due Oct 28th/29th Quiz : Logic/constructions/unit 1 concepts Nine Weeks Test: 10/30 and 10/31 Pearson Success due Friday EC Closes 10/24

Copy this into SOL Binder(G.1)- day 18 Let p = “n is an integer and n² is divisible by 4” Let q = “n is divisible by 4” p → q means “If n is an integer and n² is divisible by 4, then n is divisible by 4.” What is a counterexample to p → q ? In this case, n = 10 is a counterexample because 10² = 100 and 100 is divisible by 4, but 10 is not divisible by 4. Other possible answers: 2, 6, 14, 18, etc.

Conjunctions, Disjunctions & Conditionals p q p∧q p∨q p q

Example 2 Make a truth table for (~p →q) ∨ r. p q r ~p ~p→q (~p→q) ∨ r
