“Make All Things [by] the Pattern” Heb. 8:4-6; 2:1-4 God’s word is all we have to guide us (Eph. 3:1-5)(2 Tim. 3:16-17) cannot presume to know His will without it (1 Cor. 2:7-12)(Is. 55:8-9)(Jer. 10:23) knowing “book, chapter, verse” is essential (1 Pet. 4:11)(Col. 3:17)

What is the Biblical Pattern? how do we identify the Lord’s true church?
Pattern: Doctrinal Guide the Bible is the sole source of authority for the Christian and the church (Ps. 119:105)(2 Cor. 11:3-4)
Pattern: Entrance into the Body the church is made up of those who have been saved by obedient faith (Acts 2:37-38, 47)
Pattern: Local Organization Phil. 1:1 members: true and faithful to His name (Acts 2:37-38) (Rev. 2:1-7) elders: multiple men meeting qualifications (Acts 14:23)(Acts 20:17, 28)(1 Tim. 3:1-7) deacons: likewise meet distinct qualifications, separate duty than elders (1 Tim. 3:8-13)
Pattern: Authorized Work teach the lost (Mt. 28:19-20) strengthen the brethren (Eph. 4:16) relieve the needy saints (Acts 11:27-30)
Pattern: Authorized Worship prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17) preaching (Acts 20:7) the Lord's Supper (Acts 20:7) singing (Ephesians 5:19) giving (1 Corinthians 16:2)
Pattern: Authorized Name Christ’s church will bear His name (Rom. 16:16) not a title or “brand” like denominations “church of (or belonging to) Christ” is a description of where we receive our authority (Eph. 1:22-23) knowing this pattern, and how to establish and defend it, will give you confidence you are blessed
“Blessed is He Who Reads” Rev. 1:3 Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. How bright is the lamp of God’s word for you? How well can you see the path?
