Common Understandings of Mapping Mapping is an ongoing process of reflective practice that is driven by conversations. Mapping is a way of thinking about and documenting what is really important in our curriculum so that we can share best practices. Mapping is in response to questions we have about our curriculum or instruction and relate to classroom initiatives. Mapping is more than just data entry, it is the first step in a communicated plan for review.
