Transforming the Profession For our profession, what does the NT3 envision transformation will look like? For many of us we literally got a sealed box at the start of our certification process with the standards, the 5 core propositions, and the Architecture of Acc Teaching Transformation will be opening up the locked box of the accomplished teaching body of knowledge. Making professional wisdom transparent. Embedded throughout the continuum. Supported in schools and systems.

NT3- Network to Transform Teaching District AIM: To provide equitable access to accomplished teaching to all students and teachers, by 2020, Floyd County will have a systemic pathway that integrates the accomplished teaching body of knowledge from teacher induction to instructional leadership.    Our long term aim is to have 50% our teachers board certified. By 2020, we aim to… 100% of schools have an NBCT on faculty 20% of teachers in defined and compensated teacher leadership roles 100% of beginning teachers involved in the pathway to accomplished teaching with goals for their 4th year Maintain an on-going cohort of teachers pursuing board certification To achieve our aims, 15 districtwide sessions for administrators to deepen their understanding of accomplished teaching and the National Board for Certified Teachers Body of Knowledge 100% of teachers engaged with ATLAS and National Board Body of Knowledge 2 schools sharing systemic processes teacher support and serving as learning sites for the embedding of Accomplished Teaching practices

Building Capacity Through A Pathway to Accomplished Teaching All non-tenured teachers and those within their first year to Floyd County will be included in the Floyd Induction Program. Personalized Professional Development will be provided to teachers in the Induction Program by our Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment Team. Team members are working on their Teacher Leader degree, Instructional Leadership degree or National Board Certification. Mentoring will be provided through our Accomplished Teaching Cohort. Members are NBCTs or exhibit accomplished teaching and have administrative recommendation. Monthly administrative meetings to have session on Accomplished Teaching District Monitoring to include review of embedded practices.
