Common Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Program The use of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) technology eliminates hardware and software obsolescence issues. Innovative software allows for Unique Test Programs of obsolescent programming language to be translated into the latest program code without compromising critical test elements No more proprietary hardware or software issues. Reduces Sprawling Logistic Footprint. Legacy Test Program migration is accomplished with minimal effort and significantly lower cost. Prototype currently located in the depot at NUWC Keyport. Service Investment (Navy) - $2.745M Common Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Program Translation and Integration of Multiple Legacy Test Program Sets (TPS) into more Efficient Technology Significantly Reduce Logistics Footprint Application by Armed Services: DoD Benefits Level 1 Benefits (Demonstrated): Provides an analytical procedure for TPS migration and reduces average program translation and integration time: 2-3 weeks vs. 6-12 months Pending complexity of TPS’, average cost savings of $66K to $135K (per test program) vs. traditional Recurring Engineering methods Increase throughput- Less down-time, more test station availability Project Participants: Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Keyport, WA NUWC Newport, RI Potential: DoD wide, cross-service applications Level 2 Benefits: NUWC Keyport, MK 48 Torpedo Depot, requires integration of 15 more TPSs. Software integration alone will save an estimated $1M for the MK 48 Program Minimum Projected DoD (Cross Service) Savings for 1000 TPS’ translation and Integration: $66M
