Every living thing need nutrients, plants get energy from sun to make their own food. They use the process of photosynthesis which is how they make.

By Amaz Darr. L= Light Green plants need light to grow well. If they are grown in the dark, they do not get any light for photosynthesis, this reduces.

By Mrs. Kristin Shaw. At the end of this lesson you should be able to: ▪ Define Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration ▪ Explain where each process happens.
Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration. Photosynthesis Definition: process in which plant cells convert the energy from sunlight into chemical energy.

What is Photosynthesis? What is the Process? Goal: To use pictures and words to explain the following: a)What is photosynthesis? b)How does the process.
Photosynthesis. What is photosynthesis? Photosynthesis may sound like a big word, but it's actually pretty simple. You can divide it into two parts: –

Seeds and Plants

Table of Context Lesson 3- Germination Lesson 1- Inside of a seed. Seeds: Lesson 1- Inside of a seed. Lesson 2- The Path of a seed Lesson 3- Germination Plants: Lesson 4- Parts of a Plant- Web quest Lesson5- Photosynthesis

Lesson 1- Inside a Seed Objectives: Aim: Exploring the inside of a seed. Objectives: Students will look inside a seed to discover the beginning of a plant. Students will be able to identify the different parts of a seed. Students will discuss elements that are important for plants to grow.

Lesson 2- The Path of a Seed Aim: How do seeds travel? Wind Water Hitchhikers Objectives: Students will discuss and explore the different paths seeds take.

Lesson 3- Germination Aim: What is Germination ? Objectives: Students will know the parts of a seed. Students will know what Germination is.  Students will understand the requirements for seeds to germinate and grow. Students will be able to explain the growth patterns of seedlings. Students will recognize differences between plants in their germination and growth requirements.

What does it mean when a seed Germinates? Germination is the process that causes the seed to begin to sprout or grow.

Placing seeds in water to soak overnight Pouring water into bags with paper towels. Completed Pocket Seed Viewer Materials for the experiment Seed packets (this experiment uses Peas, Little Marvel) Re-sealable plastic bags (sandwich or quart size) Paper towels or napkins Water and cups Tape Cardboard (optional) Paper clips (optional) Binder clips (optional) Worksheets String

Lesson 5- Photosynthesis Aim: What do Plants Eat? Objectives: Students will discover that plant food is made from air, water, and sunlight. Students will discover that plants will go to great lengths to find light - even thread a maze.

What is Photosynthesis? Photosynthesis is the process plants goes through in order to make food. What plants need for photosynthesis: carbon dioxide water light What plants make by photosynthesis: glucose oxygen Photosynthesis
