DCR Current Sensing DCR Current Sensing can be used to remove the additional conduction loss introduced by current sense resistor. The voltage across DCR can be extracted using a R-C network. Matching R1C time constant with L/DCR time constant 𝑅1×𝐶=𝐿/𝐷𝐶𝑅 Then Equivalent Current Sense Resistance will be 𝑉 𝐶 = 𝑉 𝐷𝐶𝑅 𝑅 𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑒 =𝐷𝐶𝑅

DCR Current Sensing (DCR is higher than desired current sense resistance) Matching the time constants 𝑅1×𝑅2 𝑅1+𝑅2 ×𝐶=𝐿/𝐷𝐶𝑅 Equivalent Current Sense Resistance 𝑅 𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑒 = 𝑅2 𝑅1+𝑅2 ×𝐷𝐶𝑅
