Easy Fundraising Website – www.easyfundraising.org.uk Newsletter Friday 3rd February Number 8 Football Well done to the football team who attended a football competition at The Sands Centre on Saturday. They played brilliantly and had a real team spirit. Thanks to Mr Rhodes for his continued support as head coach! . Parents Evenings Parents evenings this term will be held on Wednesday 21st March from 3.30pm and on Thursday 22nd March from 6pm. More details to follow. Mothering Sunday The new vicar of St Oswald's church will be taking his first service on Sunday 18th March (Mothering Sunday) at 11am. All are invited to attend and there will be a bring and share lunch afterwards in the Kirkstile. We are looking forward to working with the new vicar, Sudarshan Sarvananthan. Easy Fundraising Website – www.easyfundraising.org.uk A quick easy way to raise funds for school at no extra cost to yourself. Use this site as a route to hundreds of main on line stores (such as Tesco, Next, Debenhams, Comet, Amazon etc) and school will receive up to 5% of your purchases. With just two parents we have raised over £20 in three months. We have the potential to raise lots of money for school so please support it if you can. Log on to the website and register your chosen username and password, click on Dean school and shop! Safety As you are aware in the morning we have a member of staff on duty outside from 8.30am. We have two entrances into school (in addition to the Reception children’s entrance into Class 1) on the main playground, the side metal gate and the main entrance wooden gates. The side metal gate will be locked from 08.35 (after the bus arrives) by the member of staff on duty so please use the main front entrance gates into the playground. Our registration time begins at 08.45 and I would ask that any children that arrive after the register is taken, report to Mrs Huddart in the office so we can ensure that our registers are correct in case of fire drill etc. and so we can ensure children are marked in with an appropriate late code. The safety of our pupils is very important and we appreciate your support in this matter. If children are absent from school for any reason such as illness we would appreciate a telephone call before 08.45 to inform us. Thanks
