Iranian Seismic Network From 1996, the Institute of Geophysics in Tehran university has deployed several telemetric seismic networks in Iran to monitor the local earthquakes. Since then, many local earthquakes have been recorded and as a reliable data.

Remarkable points The region is very active and many local earthquakes were recorded by local networks that could not be detected by regional seismic networks in the region. . Still there are areas that are not covered by seismic networks in the region and still we miss many earthquakes that are very important.
