Reflection . . . Creed: Recite too much or ponder too little? “Solemn pledge of ourselves to Christ”. Climax of first half of mass, just as Eucharist is climax for second half. OT: God or Lord. NT: Jesus prompts us to say “Our Father . . .”. Do we understand call to intimacy? Do we take it for granted? Christ took on human sonship for Himself in order to impart divine sonship to us. Pilate (and today): “What is truth?” Mary: in humility, she is God’s glory, Satan’s shame. She always leads us to Christ, and He gives her to us. New Evangelization: re-introduce Christ to a world losing hope and becoming more lost. We renew our family covenant with God at every Mass in the Eucharist and in the creed.
