ABOUT REGENT 100% dedicated to Financial Aid and Enrollment Optimization as our core business 80+ employees dedicated to financial aid solutions Over 300+ collective years of higher education expertise Products designed from inception to support all enrollment models

CBE and the Administration of Title IV Aid Over 70% of today’s students receive some form of Federal Financial Aid Critical to the successful implementation of a CBE program- but often the reason for not moving forward or delays A Title IV approved enrollment model that supports CBE exists (non-term), but systems cannot support OP Ed at no cost to us Confidential and Proprietary

Why is Financial Aid a Hindrance? Financial aid management systems are designed around the concept of structured periods of enrollment To achieve the benefits of CBE, students must be able to progress academically at their own pace and not be hindered by artificial start and end dates What are the options? OP Ed at no cost to us Confidential and Proprietary

Enrollment Model Overview Terms are the building blocks for student academic years For financial aid purposes, a student’s academic program is delivered in one of three structures: Standard Term Nonstandard Term (NST) Non-Term

What is Non-Term? Under Non-Term: courses do not begin and end within a set period of time courses can overlap the term begin and/or end dates Versions: Self-paced Modules Consecutive Overlapping On-demand

Why Non-Term for CBE? Designed for self-paced learning Financial aid model matches academic model Students can progress at their own rate and not be hindered by artificial start and end dates Students that progress quickly are not prevented from continuing to take additional credits: They can continue to receive financial aid They are not at risk for not meeting SAP requirements if they do not complete credits during the artificial end dates required for standard term and non-standard term models Experimental Sites

Approaches Manual processing Round Peg Square Hole (Non-Standard Term) SAP Implications Students are hindered in their ability to progress academically Moving to Regent 8 Confidential and Proprietary

Regent 8 support of CBE Why was Regent 8 designed for CBE? Regent 8 designed from inception to fully support and automate end-to-end financial aid processing for all enrollment models Enables schools to offer multiple enrollment models with one solution Foundational design is architected differently that any other solution Only 2 in 10 students attend a residential campus full time-making the ability to offer flexible enrollment models critical in meeting students needs

Schools representing over 250 campuses are actively using or deploying Regent 8
