Traditional Media

Radio (2005) A radio is a piece of equipment that is used for sending and receiving messages. Radio is the technology of using radio waves to carry information, such as sound, by systematically modulating properties of electromagnetic energy waves transmitted through space, such as their amplitude, frequency, phase. Personal Description: Source of information such as news, stories or dramas in real life situation and music.

Newspaper (2006) Personal Description: A newspaper is a serial publication containing news about current events, other informative articles about politics, sports, arts, and so on, and advertising. A newspaper is usually, but not exclusively, printed on relatively inexpensive, low-grade paper such as newsprint. Personal Description: A written information about what happening in the society or in the world. It also contain entertainment such as games, horoscopes, etc.

Television (2007) Personal Description: An electronic system of transmitting transient images of fixed or moving objects together with sound over a wire or through space by apparatus that converts light and sound into electrical waves and reconverts them into visible light rays and audible sound. Personal Description: Important source of information about what happening in the world and it provides educational programs.

Mobile Phone (2008) A mobile phone is a portable telephone that can make and receive calls over a radio frequency link while the user is moving within a telephone service area. The radio frequency link establishes a connection to the switching systems of a mobile phone operator, which provides access to the public switched telephone network. Personal Description: It help us to communicate with other people especially when you are far from each other. And we can also send and receive information with the use of it.

New Media

Flat screen TV (2010) Personal Description: Television or TV is a telecommunication medium used for transmitting moving images in monochrome (black-and-white) or in color, and in two or three dimensions and sound. The term can refer to a television set, a television program ("TV show") or the medium of television transmission. Television is a mass medium for entertainment, education, news, politics, gossip, and advertising. Personal Description: It provides important information such as news. It also provides educational programs and it help us to be updated of what is happening.

DVD Player (2011) A DVD player is a device that plays DVD discs produced under both the DVD-Video and DVD-Audio technical standards, two different and incompatible standards. Some DVD players will also play audio CDs. DVD players are connected to a television to watch the DVD content, which could be a movie, a recorded TV show, or other content. Personal Description: A device that provide DVD-Video and DVD-Audio. It is connected to a television to watch the DVD content such as movies.

Cellular Phone (2012) A cellular phone is a telecommunication device that uses radio waves over a networked area (cells) and is served through a cell site or base station at a fixed location, enabling calls to transmit wirelessly over a wide range, to a fixed landline or via the Internet. In this networked system, the cellular phone is identified as a mobile system consisting of the equipment and SIM card that actually assigns the mobile telephone number. Personal Description: We can send and receive information. It also provides entertainment such as games and simply it help us to communicate with other people.

Laptop (2014) A laptop, often called a notebook or "notebook computer", is a small, portable personal computer with a “clamshell" form factor, an alphanumeric keyboard on the lower part of the "clamshell" and a thin LCD or LED computer screen on the upper portion, which is opened up to use the computer. Laptops are folded shut for transportation, and thus are suitable for mobile use. Personal Description: We can do many things here like surfing the internet, creating documents, playing games.

Magazines (2015) A magazine is a publication, usually a periodical publication, which is printed or electronically published (sometimes referred to as an online magazine). Magazines are generally published on a regular schedule and contain a variety of content. They are generally financed by advertising, by a purchase price, by prepaid subscriptions, or a combination of the three. At its root, the word "magazine" refers to a collection or storage location. In the case of written publication, it is a collection of written articles. This explains why magazine publications share the word root with gunpowder magazines, artillery magazines, firearms magazines, and, in French, retail stores such as department stores. Personal Description: It contains daily news, entertainment and it uses for advertising.

Camera (2015) A camera  is an optical instrument for recording or capturing images, which may be stored locally, transmitted to another location, or both. The images may be individual still photographs or sequences of images constituting videos or movies. The camera is a remote sensing device as it senses subjects without physical contact. Personal Description: It uses to capture images and recording videos.
