بعض الملاحظات للطلبة لكتابة البروتوكول بعض الملاحظات للطلبة لكتابة البروتوكول N.B: All protocols must be submitted in Times New Roman Regular font size 12 point. Use double-spacing throughout, except partly in the title page and in the supervisors' page. Start a new page for each of the main sections ) Title Page, Supervisors' Page, Background, Aim of the Work, Materials(Subjects) and Methods, Analysis of Results, References) , in Bold Font Size 12 .

Only one side of the sheet must be typed. Do not divide words at end of lines. All pages should be consecutively numbered, beginning with the title page. Type the page number followed by the total number of pages in the upper right corner (e.g 6/9).

The title is usually the first part of the protocol to be read and therefore should convey maximum information in a concise form, in Bold Font Size 14 . Titles should not include any kind of abbreviations.

Every part of the supervisors' page should be written in both Arabic and English. The full names of the supervisors and their academic degree should be written. The number of supervisors can range from two to four per Thesis (Master's or Doctor's Degree). At least one of the supervisors should be an Assistant Professor or Professor; i.e.: Lecturers are not allowed to supervise alone.

Do not include aims for which your study cannot provide results Do not include aims for which your study cannot provide results. Beware of too many aims in one study as this leads to imprecise thinking and poorly defined results. The aim(s) of the study should be precise, clear, and carefully stated.

If biochemical measures are to be made (e. g If biochemical measures are to be made (e.g. serum cholesterol, urinary sodium) the analytical techniques which will be used should be referenced. All supervisors and co-workers must sign every page of the protocol.

ملاحظات:- لابد من ان يكون الكلام فى السطر يبدأ كله على خط بداية واحد وينتهى على خط نهاية واحد فى كل البروتوكول . المقدمة Background لا تزيد عن صفحتين. توحد المسافة بين كل فقرة والآخرى فى المقدمة Background يفضل الهدف من البحث أن يكون على هيئة فقرة وليس نقط أو 1,2,3 Materials (Subjects) and Methods تكون فى نفس الصفحة Materials (Subjects) عنوان جانبى وبعد الإنتهاء من كتابته نكتب وراءه على طول Methods عنوان جانبى وليس مستقلا فى صفحة لوحده .

Analysis of Results فى صفحة لوحده وليس فى آخر Methodology . ممنوع إستخدام الموقع الإلكترونى (web site) كمرجع . لا يزيد عدد المراجع عن 20-25 مرجعا . توحد المسافة بين كل مرجع والآخر فى صفحة المراجع (References) برجاء مراجعة المراجع بحيث لا يكون هناك مرجعا متكررا. برجاء ملاحظة ألا يكتب رقم المرجع الخاص بجملة فى بداية السطر التالى .

References تكتب المراجع بنظام الترقيم حسب أولوية ورودها في خطة البحث نحيط سيادتكم علما إن كتابة المراجع في خطة البحث أو الرسائل العلمية تتبع النظام التالي :- تكتب المراجع بنظام الترقيم حسب أولوية ورودها في خطة البحث إذا كانت الفقرة مزيلة بعدة مراجع فيكون ترتيبها من الأقدم إلي الأحدث علي سبيل المثال: (1-4) فيكون المرجع رقم 1 هو الأقدم ثم يليه رقم 2 وهكذا وإذا تساوى المرجعين في السنة يتم ترتيبهم حسب الحروف الأبجدية. إذا تم ذكر اسم المؤلف في الفقرة فيجب إن تذكر السنة بين قوسين ثم نكتب رقم المرجع وليس أخر الفقرة. Ex: Gail et al (1964)( ) or Kelsey and Gammon (2006) ( )

يبدأ كتابة المرجع باسم عائلة المؤلف يتبعه الأحـرف الأولي من اسمه و اسم والده ويفصل بين كـل مؤلف فصـلة ( ,) ثم بعد كتابة كل الأسماء ننتهي بنقطة (.) ثم يأتي عنوان المقالة تنتهي بنقطة (.) ثم يأتي اسم المجلة ونترك مسافة (لا نضع نقطة) ثم نكتب السنة و بعدها (;) وبعد ذلك العدد ثم يكتب الرقم بين قوسين إذا كان موجودا و بعده (:) ثم يكتب رقم أول صفحة و أخر صفحة ثم تنتهي بنقطة (.) Ex: Ristamäki R, Joensuu H, Salmi M, Jalkanen S. Serum CD44 in malignant lymphoma: An association with treatment response. Blood 1994; 84(1): 238 - 43.

N.B: The month should not be included in the reference. Do not use "and" before the last author. When a reference includes six or less authors, list them all and if a reference contains seven or more authors, list only the first six and add et al. For the last page number remove the first digits when repeated from the first page number e.g. 634 - 9 instead of 634 – 639.

إذا كان المرجع كتاب يكتب بالترتيب التالي :- مؤلف الفصل عنوان الفصل اسم الكتاب يسبقه In: مؤلفي الكتاب الناشر واسم البلد السنة ثم صفحات الفصل Ex: Agnes BK. Mechanisms of cell and tissue injury.
